Push API source

Instead of Amplicast pulling, your system pushes content in — perfect for build hooks, Zapier/Make steps, or a custom CMS publish action.

Setup

  1. Sources → Add Source → Push API. On creation you get:
    • a push URL: POST https://api.amplicast.io/api/inbound/sources/<id>
    • a secret — shown once; store it safely (you can regenerate it later, which invalidates the old one).
  2. Send items with the secret as a bearer token:
curl -X POST https://api.amplicast.io/api/inbound/sources/<id> \
-H "Authorization: Bearer <secret>" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{
"external_id": "post-123",
"title": "My article",
"content": "Full text or HTML…",
"image_url": "https://…/cover.jpg",
"url": "https://myblog.com/post-123",
"tags": ["announcement"],
"published_at": "2026-08-26T10:00:00Z"
}'

external_id and title are required; everything else is optional. You can also send {"items": [...]} with multiple items in one call. Repeated pushes with the same external_id update instead of duplicating.
