Project scoping (important)

Channels are per project. When you connect a channel, it lands in whichever project is currently active in the sidebar.

So before clicking Connect:

  1. Switch to the project this channel will publish for (or create it first)
  2. Then click Connect for the platform

If you accidentally connect a channel in the wrong project, today you'd need to disconnect and reconnect from the right project. We're working on a "move channel" UI; for now, drop us a line if this bites you.

How to connect

  1. Make sure the right project is selected in the project switcher (violet square in the sidebar)
  2. Go to the Channels tab
  3. Click Connect next to the platform you want to add
  4. Follow the platform-specific authorization flow
  5. Once connected, the account appears in your channels list — scoped to the active project

Managing connected accounts

From the Channels tab you can:

  • View status — see if the account is active and the token is valid
  • Disconnect — remove the platform account (deletes the connection; doesn't touch the actual account on the platform)
  • Set aliases — friendly names for easier identification (linkedin_acme_main → "Acme Main LinkedIn")
  • Deactivate — temporarily stop publishing to an account without removing the connection

Token refresh

Most platforms issue access tokens that expire (24h to 60 days depending on platform). Amplicast refreshes them automatically using stored refresh tokens. If a refresh fails (e.g. you revoked access from the platform's side), the account shows as needs reconnection in the Channels tab — click Connect again to re-auth.

Platform-specific guides

What about YouTube and TikTok?

Both are supported (TikTok via "Inbox" mode — your generated video lands as a draft in the TikTok app for you to finalize and post; YouTube uploads videos directly via the channel API). Per-platform setup notes for these are on the way; for now, connect via the Channels tab and it should work end-to-end.
